Instructional Gymnastics Program
Our Instructional Gymnastics Classes are designed for school-aged gymnasts, offering progressive skill development in a fun, supportive environment. From beginners to intermediate and advanced levels, students will build strength, flexibility, coordination, and confidence as they learn and perfect gymnastics skills on bars, beam, vault, and floor.
Class Levels:
Level 1 (Beginner):
- For new students aged 6 and up or those starting their gymnastics journey. Gymnasts will learn foundational skills like cartwheels, rolls, and basic movements on all apparatus, while developing motor skills, balance, and overall confidence.
Level 2 (Advanced Beginner):
- Level 2 gymnastics classes are for students who have completed/mastered skills in our Level 1 curriculum. Level 2 is an advanced beginner class which focuses on improving upon skills learned in Level 1 as well as learning new skills and developmental drills on each apparatus. Skills taught include handstands, backbends, and lead up drills for back handsprings; handstands, cartwheels and round-off dismounts off beam; introducing board entry and agility for vault; cast shaping and hip circles on bars.
- Level 3 gymnastics classes are for students who have completed/mastered skills in our Level 2 curriculum. Level 3 is an intermediate gymnastics class that focuses on improving upon skills learned in Level 2 as well as learning new skills and developmental skills on each apparatus. Skills taught include front and back walkovers and handsprings; front handspring vault over resi mat, stride circles on bars and advancing beam skills.
Level 4 (Advanced):
- Level 4 gymnastics classes are for students who have completed/mastered our Level 3 curriculum. Students in this class work on improving skills they have learned in Level 3 as well as learning new skills on all apparatus. Skills include front handspring vault and ¼ on vault over resi mat, progressions leading to vault table, squat ons and kips progressions on bars, side handstand/handstand quarter turn dismount and walkovers on beam, round off back handspring, front handspring connections and front and back tucks on floor.
Program Details
- Progressive Curriculum: Each class builds on the skills learned in the previous level, ensuring gymnasts master the fundamentals before advancing.
- Skill Evaluation: Students are evaluated before entering Level 2, Level 3, or Level 4 classes to ensure they’re ready for the next challenge.
- Supportive Environment: Classes emphasize fun, safety, and teamwork while fostering individual growth and self-confidence.
Note: A minimum of five students is required to open a class. If your chosen class does not meet this requirement, we will contact you to find an alternative time.
